Role: Production Designer
"Make the Call," featuring Bill Belichick, Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrese Maxey, and Cam'ron, is a broadcast commercial by The Rec League. This campaign was created for the football season and beyond, launching with a film starring legendary 8-time Super Bowl winning coach Bill Belichick, often regarded as the greatest of all time. The ensemble cast seeks Belichick’s advice throughout the commercial, which was filmed across Nantucket, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
In my role as a production designer, I collaborated closely with the director and client to develop a compelling visual concept for the commercial, ensuring that the creative vision aligned with the client's objectives. I took charge of sourcing and procuring all necessary furniture and props, while also proposing a comprehensive budget to the producer, which I successfully managed throughout the project. My responsibilities included hiring and directing the art department crew for each filming location, which involved traveling to diverse locations such as Nantucket, Las Vegas, and Dallas to oversee set preparations and filming. During these trips, I scouted locations alongside directors and producers to confirm set logistics and finalize the art plan for each space. I meticulously ensured that each scene was well-composed and fully equipped to meet both production requirements and talent needs. Throughout the process, I maintained a personable approach with on-set talent, ensuring that all props were comfortable and suitable for use. Ultimately, the project was successfully delivered on budget, showcasing my ability to harmonize creativity with practical execution.
