Role: Production Designer
Hosted by Allyson and Wes Felix, co-founders of SAYSH, Mountaintop Conversations celebrates the inspiring stories and experiences of leaders in politics, entrepreneurship, and culture. Allyson Felix, the most decorated track and field athlete in U.S. history, faced significant challenges after starting her family, feeling unseen and disrespected by her former sponsor, Nike. Rather than succumb to adversity, she used her platform to advocate for herself and countless young girls and women globally. In pursuit of making her fifth Olympic team, she and her brother Wes decided to dream big by creating their own spike and lifestyle brand for women. This episode delves into the backstory of how SAYSH was born, the inspiration behind Mountaintop Conversations, and what listeners can expect this season. The conversation emphasizes resilience, highlighting that while people may write you off or count you out, it is ultimately up to you to keep pushing forward when you know you have more to offer.
As the Production Designer for this podcast episode, I transformed the existing SAYSH store in Culver City into a camera-ready set while maintaining its authentic ambiance. I strategically reorganized the space to optimize filming angles and installed temporary drapes to ensure privacy during the shoot. To enhance the visual narrative, I curated and styled aesthetically pleasing props, creating captivating vignettes that showcased SAYSH shoes. After filming concluded, I meticulously restored the location to its original store layout, ensuring a seamless transition back to its regular operations.
