"Roll Up" is a poignant coming-of-age film that explores the complexities of young queer love and personal identity. The story centers on a young skater and his boyfriend, whose relationship is tested when the boyfriend is kicked out of his home after coming out to his family. Their subsequent argument emerges from the tension between the protagonist's reluctance to come out and his partner's desire for authenticity and mutual vulnerability, highlighting the challenging journey of self-acceptance and personal courage in LGBTQ+ youth experiences.
