Role: Production Designer
"Desert Dream" is a short film about a young Korean foreign exchange student gets expelled and decides to spend his last day living the American Dream.
Stepping in as the emergency Production Designer for a short film, I quickly adapted to the established design elements while leading set dressing efforts to ensure a cohesive aesthetic across multiple locations. One of my significant contributions was the transformation of a key set, the diner, where I implemented strategic painting and decoration that earned praise from the director, producer, and cinematographer. Throughout the project, I effectively managed the production design budget, balancing creativity with financial constraints to achieve the desired visual impact. Additionally, I contributed valuable feedback during post-production, participating in multiple rounds of cuts to refine the final product. My role required adaptability, leadership, and creative problem-solving in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, demonstrating my commitment to delivering exceptional results under challenging circumstances.
