Role: Production Designer
"NFL 2K Playmakers" is a card-battling mobile game trailer by The Rec League, featuring San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel Sr. and Bay Area rap legend E-40. E-40 stars as the head coach, guiding players to "become playmakers" and coaching Samuel Sr. on the game's Four P's: players, positions, playbook, and playing your cards right. The trailer also highlights the app's new "Game Changers" mode. This commercial was filmed in Los Angeles, CA.
In my role as a production designer, I collaborated closely with the director and client to creatively develop the overall look and atmosphere of the commercial. I conducted preliminary location scouting and demonstrated adaptability by quickly responding to last-minute location changes. Sourcing furniture and props that aligned with the desired aesthetic was a key focus for me, and I successfully hired and coordinated an art department team to manage set dressing and prop needs for the talent. As location changes arose, I created and revised multiple art plans to ensure a seamless production process. My efforts culminated in a final art plan that received positive feedback from the client regarding the set design. Ultimately, I successfully wrapped a complex shoot at a sensitive Bel Air mansion location without any issues, showcasing my ability to navigate challenges while delivering exceptional results.
